Recovering Founder | Writer Advancement Leader | Connector
Thanks for stopping by. I enjoy meeting new people and connecting with old friends.
By day I am a not-so-mild-mannered university administrator. My alter-ego is a writer, pursuing an MFA in creative non-fiction at the University of King’s College in Halifax. I am writing an instructive memoir about my experience as a founder (2016 - 2020) outside of the Silicon Valley bubble, tentatively called Upstarts: Founders, Failure, and the Startup Paradox.
I have been involved with fund development, marketing and business planning since the early 1990s.
Between 2015 and 2018 I published articles in Canadian Gaming Business Magazine. My now very occasional blog demonstrates my lateral approach to common business issues related to loyalty and engagement. I have led the research and writing of white papers for the Canadian casino industry and created a publication called “The Insider’s Guide to the Business of Canadian Casinos”, both through a consulting collective. Finally, I have and continue to ghost-write copy that appears in newsletters and other formats.
Connect with me on LinkedIn referencing my website, or send me a message.
Visit the Upstarts website if you are a founder with a story to share and to try our surveys and quizzes.
