Recovering Founder | Writer Advancement Leader | Connector
Thanks for stopping by. I enjoy meeting new people and connecting with old friends.
By day I am a not-so-mild-mannered university administrator. My alter-ego is a writer, pursuing an MFA in creative non-fiction at the University of King’s College in Halifax. I am writing a memoir about my experience as a founder (2016 - 2020) outside of the Silicon Valley bubble, tentatively called Upstarts: Founders, Failure, and the Startup Paradox.
I have been involved with fund development, marketing and business planning since the early 1990s.
My writing on startups has appeared in The Globe and Mail and The Hub. Between 2015 and 2018 I published articles in Canadian Gaming Business Magazine. My now very occasional blog demonstrates my lateral approach to common business issues related to loyalty and engagement.
Visit the Upstarts website if you are a founder with a story to share and to try our surveys and quizzes.
